The Valleranello Primary Cabin (PC) retrofit project is one of the most important works of the development plan for the Areti High Voltage (HV) network, located in the southern quadrant of Rome. This intervention is part of a larger project to expand the power grid in the city of Rome.
Modernise and upgrade the existing primary cabin.
Improve the reliability and efficiency of the power grid.
Support the growing demand for energy in the southern quadrant of Rome.
Panel building: construction of a new building to house the electrical panels.
Services building: construction of a new building to house the services necessary for the operation of the cabin.
Perimeter fence: installation of a perimeter fence with reinforced concrete walls and overlying fence to ensure the safety of the area.
Underground tanks for transformers: creation of three underground tanks for the bases of 40MVA transformers, with dimensions of 11.4x5.9x2.3 metres.
Reinforced concrete underground bases: construction of reinforced concrete underground bases to support cable terminals, unipolar equipment, bus-bar portals, HV disconnectors, hybrid modules, Petersen and TRSA.
Flame walls: construction of four reinforced concrete flame walls, with dimensions of 5.90 x 7.00 metres.
Earthing system: installation of a new earthing system for the cabin, ensuring the earthing of all structures and equipment.
Electrical systems: construction of the electrical lighting and driving force systems for the entire primary cabin.
Rainwater disposal network: creation of a network for the disposal of rainwater collected from the cabin yards.
Civil wastewater disposal network: construction of a network for the disposal of civil wastewater from bathrooms inside the service building.
