Description and objectives

 

In equal collaboration with public bodies and universities (ISS, ENEA and DICEA), an innovative method for the determination of microplastics (MP) in water intended for human consumption, surface and wastewater (effluent) has been developed internally. This methodology is aligned with the indications that emerged in the European Commission's Delegated Decision of 11 March 2024, which defines a methodology for measuring microplastics in water intended for human consumption.

Project details

 

The development work, the result of collaboration with the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS), the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA) and the Department of Civil, Building and Environmental Engineering (DICEA), has produced numerous scientific publications and has seen participation in national and international conferences. These results have aroused the interest of the scientific community, demonstrating the importance and innovativeness of the methodology developed.
